TheMoodieReport.com: "The foundation stones of the Travel Retail Village - a project designed to alleviate the suffering of 20 families dispossessed by last December's tsunami - have been laid by Paul Topping and Rakhita Jayawardena, the driving forces behind the Alpha Sri Lanka Tsunami Relief Fund.

Alpha Asia Managing Director Topping and Centaur Travel Retail President Jayawardena (also of King Power Traveler) set up the fund shortly after the disaster.

The fund has collected US$350,000 due to the generosity of donors worldwide - mainly from the travel retail industry (hence the village's name). Land was purchased with the funds in order to build houses for 20 families (approximately 100 people in total). "
