Allianz Cornhill - Press Centre - Press Story: "Allianz Cornhill has discovered that insurer responsiveness is still considered to be the most important element to a broker when assessing insurance companies.
In a recent survey of over 600 brokers, Allianz Cornhill asked what drove the decision to ask an insurer to quote. Responsiveness, policy price and the quality of the claims service came out as the most important factors.
John Warburton, Allianz Cornhill Commercial Sales & Distribution Manager, said:
�It is no big surprise that brokers value responsiveness so highly. Our research also shows that more than one in five requests to insurers for quotation are not responded to, so it is no wonder brokers are feeling frustrated.�
In one of the qualitative interviews a large broker from the south of England commented:
�Allianz Cornhill � at least they answer the phone with a person. The others you have to get through the rigmarole, and then you end up getting music, �Wait, all our operators are busy, your call is important, please hold.� � I�ve heard that so often.�
Another broker said:
�Responsiveness - ability to trade with them. Get hold of them, get quotes out of them, get documentation � basic things like that. People who are helpful and accessible and responsive.�
John Warburton commented:
�Even though the research shows that Allianz Cornhill is more responsive than our competitors, we still have a long way to go. Brokers are our customers and as an industry we have to start lifting the benchmark on customer service. "
