Allianz Cornhill - Press Centre - Press Story

Allianz Cornhill - Press Centre - Press Story: "Allianz Cornhill predicts that broker membership of networks and alliances will grow over the next five years.

The insurer carried out extensive research amongst over 600 brokers in order to examine the current and future market segmentation. The results show that whilst 91% of brokers are currently independent, by 2010 17% of these are highly likely to have joined a network or alliance.

Only 40% of the independent brokers surveyed stated that there is no likelihood of them joining a network or alliance within the next five years.

John Warburton, Allianz Cornhill Commercial Sales and Distribution Manager, said:
The market consolidation activity is not a big bang occurrence; its a natural evolution of the distribution market. At Allianz Cornhill we recognise that we need to respond to each of the market players actively and individually.

We are committed to being an integral part of this evolution. An increased focus in this area will enable us to understand and assess where each player is going, assess whether its somewhere we want to go and, where it is, we will commit and support fully. "
