TheMoodieReport.com: "Alpha Retail has opened an expanded Zinq accessories boutique in Rome Fiumicino Airport.
The Terminal B store has gained an additional 30sq m floor space, enabling Alpha to introduce new fixture concepts and to expand its ranges of bags, sunglasses and jewellery.
'Expanding Zinq has allowed us to introduce striking new displays that make the most of the well-known brands we retail,' said Alpha Retail Europe Managing Director Richard Winsor. 'Zinq's offer appeals to a broad customer base and the new store is trading well.'
The new layout includes a back-lit sunglasses wall running along the rear wall, with brand logos clearly displayed above each range. This style of fixture has already proved successful in Alpha Airport Shopping stores, with double-digit sales growth in the category wherever it has been introduced, the retailer said.
The handbag area has been significantly enlarged, with wall displays dedicated to higher price point brands Alviero Martini, Coccinelle, Guess and Nannini. Floor fixture displays include an affordable range from FFI.
Zinq's watches and jewellery offer is designed to appeal to a broad audience, including younger brands such as Seksy and a large Swatch unit, alongside premium watch ranges. New inclusions are Tissot, Hamilton and CK.
Swarovski hosts a wide selection of products in a dedicated branded area. Alpha has also introduced Hot Diamonds and Thomas Sabo, already successes in UK stores.
Alpha Retail operates two Zinq stores, two Alpha Accessories shops, a sunglasses outlet and a Guess unit at Rome Fiumicino Airport, as well as an Alpha Accessories store at Rome Ciampino Airport.
